Support the Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat

Meet the Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat.

Isn’t he cute? Though he’s really feeling the pressure, with only 400 of his kind left.

This guy and his family, they really need our help!

As a pack, we can raise awareness and enough funds to make a difference, perhaps even stop them going extinct.

Our Pack

The power of the Pack is in numbers. The more pets we can get together, the more influence we can have over our human carers to take action: To fund the protection of endangered species and their habitat.

So let’s go! Get as many of your mates on board as possible. Every paw, claw, and whisker makes a difference! Even if you aren’t quite ready to donate, just by joining our pack, you help strengthen our ability to affect change.

Join The Pack - About Us

About Us

The Pack is a group of like minded pets who are helping their human families connect emotionally with the plight of our endangered animals and work together to take action.

Why?

In Australia, we’ve lost 34 mammals in 200 yrs. It was at this same rate that dinosaurs declined before they became extinct, it’s shocking! But the good news is, we’ve got a chance to do something about it.

Just as the movement for animal welfare began in cities, the push for earth repair can start there too. City communities are often disconnected from environmental issues, and the only animals many of us interact with are our pets. But pets have a unique ability to connect with us on a deep emotional level, unlocking the powerful feelings needed to drive real change. Together, we can make it happen.

How?

By uniting together to Join the Pack, we build the resilience needed to face and deal with this major challenge for our wildlife. The more we connect, the more we understand and the more action we can take.

Pets fund endangered species and habitat protection by donating to organisations that our experts research and recommend as the most impactful in driving change.

As part of the Pack you can directly make your donation to the conservation organisation to grow our impact.

Founders

Griff and Pops helped Dr James Ramsden, veterinarian, take action. James is a vet with a long standing interest in endangered species and habitat restoration, fostered by his grandfather who showed him how to attract platypus back to mountain streams and regenerate the water and surrounds.

James founded Petpack with Kath Grey, and this business helps vets across Aust and NZ communicate better health messages for pets in their communities.

We’re grateful to Petpack for the support in getting this community going.
